YouTube Assistant

Available

Reviewed web assistant. It resumes a paused video. On YouTube.com, a bookmarklet can click YouTube’s own Skip Ad and Continue watching controls when they are shown. It does not block ads, remove ads, or skip an ad before YouTube makes it skippable. It is not an ad blocker, and YouTube has not certified it. Voice control and Android or iPhone control of the official YouTube app were not in the reviewed version.

Problem: A long viewing session pauses, or YouTube shows its own Skip Ad button, and the viewer has to click again.

What it does: Resume a paused video. Activate YouTube’s displayed Skip Ad button when it becomes available. Playback stays on YouTube.

Not an ad blocker. Not certified by YouTube. Not an iPhone, iPad or Android controller for the official YouTube app.
