Bhajan version ebook

Purpose. Prepare a sellable ebook of sung bhajan versions: record the audio, write the lyrics, filter out spoken remarks and ads that appear in between, then keep the pure lyrics of each version.

Vinod’s contribution. Vinod designed the workflow and compiles the selected versions. Approvals have been obtained from five internationally recognised version singers; their names are not listed on this page.

What was practised. Audio capture from sung versions, lyric transcription, removal of spoken interruptions and ads, assembly of about fifty selected versions, automatic cover generation, and an index that opens the chosen version.

Language. The ebook is first prepared in the language in which the version is sung — for example Hindi. The same fifty versions are then written in Roman Hindi: Hindi words in English (Latin) letters. This is transliteration, not translation.
